Sanger Bible Church Member Covenant

We rejoice that you are committing to be a member of the church! Please read, sign and fill in the information below.

I, therefore promise, in dependence on the grace of God which helps our infirmities, to contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.
  • I will be a functioning church member. I will give. I will serve. I will minister. I will evangelize. I will study. I will seek to be a blessing to others, I will remember that when one member suffers, all members suffer. When one member is honored, all members rejoice with them (1Cor 12:26).
  • I will seek to be a unifying church member. I know there are no perfect pastors, staff, or members –– including me. I will not be a source of dissension or gossip. One of the greatest contributions I can make to the church is with all my power to help maintain unity for the sake of the Gospel.
  • I will not be self-serving. I am a member of the church to serve others and Christ. My Savior went to the cross for me. For the sake of the Gospel and harmony I can deal with minor things that may not be to my liking or style. 
  • I will lead my family to be good members of this church. We will pray together for our church. We will worship together in our church. We will serve together in our church.
  • I will view this membership as a gift. When I received the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, I became part of the body of Christ and a member of His invisible church. I have been baptized to make public my identity with Christ. Now, I am humbled and honored to serve and to love others in this visible church. I will do my best never to take my membership for granted, but see it as a gift and an opportunity to serve others and the be part of something so much greater than any one person.
