His early years in ministry focused on high adventure trips. Later in life after years of mission trips, he and his wife Elaine, co-founded Pilotage International in the Dominican Republic and served local and international tourism works and pastors from Haiti, throughout Europe and Latin America. Upon returning from the field they made their home in Texas and moved to Sanger, Texas in 2021.
He hold degrees from Washington Bible College (BA), Grace College and Seminary (Mdiv), and earned a Doctorate of Intercultural Studies (D. Ics.) at Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, IN.
